French musicians in the baroque era published a great many arrangements of earlier traditional folk noëls, or Christmas songs. This sequence is based on a noël arranged by Nicholas Chédeville (1705-1782), titled "Joseph est bien marié", or "Joseph is Well Married" (giving some credit to the step-father!). The tune may be familiar if you've ever heard Marc-Antoine Charpentier's "Pastorale" or "Messe de Minuit pour Noël". The MIDI arrangement uses two flutes playing Chédeville's duet, backed by jazz guitar and cello.
This sequence uses the default pitch bend range. But if you don't play the file all the way through, then hit that old reset button anyhow ... just to clear other possible parameters which may affect how the next file is played.
